What you are seeing in the pic is the actually pulley on the shaft, there is not threads exposed. The weight and pulley are one chunk of metal.

If it's tight, take a c-clamp and tighten it on the flywheel.
Then it usually only takes a good whap on the clamp while holding the motor
in your lap or on a table to pop it loose.
Momentum is usually enough so you don't need to hold the shaft in anyway.

Finally after allot of persuasion it came off.
Now I have to figure out how to mount a pulley on this none keyed shaft.

I got a little time in the shop today, not much. Hard to get much time when you work a fulltime job, and run a home business as well.

Here are couple pictures of my "Simple Tram" as i have been calling it. I just need to figure out what size shaft to put in it and it will be done.

very nice looking! I would go 3/4" so it will fit with TTS collet.

Thats what I was thinking, but I used material I had already, so it is only .70" wide. I use a ton of 3/8" stuff and I have not TTS right now, so I am leaning towards 3/8".
