Does anyone know how to remove this gear from the KX3? Is it pressed on? Threaded on?
Does it sit on top of a retainer/bearing plate with 4 screws? If so, then it's like the SX3 and you remove those 4 screws, and the entire pulley and bearing plate slides off by hand. Then there are 2 snap rings you remove to press the pulley/hub out of the bearings.
I'm using KX3 parts on my SX3 for higher speeds and so far everything has been bolt on.

Yes, it does. I unbolted the mounting plate, and although I can turn the mounting plate, the assembly doesn't want to lift out. Any ideas?
Give it a couple of light taps with a hammer (not on the pulley) and it should work itself loose, there are 2 snap rings on the bottom, one holds the pulley in place while the other retains the bearing, on mine the pulley was a pretty tight fit in the bearing though
