Hi,
as the title states I have a G0619 with an intermittent electrical problem. it has untold hours on it but ran great until recently. the speed control board was replaced at the recomendation of grizzly tech support to no avail. so either it's the motor or the main board, I'm not skilled enough to diagnose. instead of throwing even more money at the stock electricals, I'm thinking it's time to look into other options. I don't mind doing some converting on the mechanical side. But mainly, what I am not too knowledgable about is the different systems that are available. I am loosely familiar with DC motors with VFD and very well may go that route. I will be keeping the machine manual for now but would love to have the ability to add the rest of a cnc setup onto it down the road without having to do any rework.
I'd like to have:
110v single phase(need)
good bang for the buck
tachometer
plenty of rpm for plastic and such
as much power as the machine structure will take
low rpm for tapping
commonly available parts
documented and/or supported

any pitfalls to be aware of?

thanks in advance for any input!!
