Can someone measure a 4" kurt style vise for me?

Hi all!

I'm looking at getting one of those 4" import kurt-style vises.

I need the distance between the bolt hole center and the back of the vise base as well as the distance between the bolt hole center and the face of the stationary jaw.

It would be a big help.

Thanks!

-Jeff

Is that ethical? Measuring a Kurt so you can by from a competitor?

I think all the Kurt dimensions are on their website if you dig a little.

I said measure a Kurt *style* vise....

I found the Kurt dxf files on their site. Strangely, the one pictured above is quite different than the true Kurt... The kurt is 1.5" shorter from bolt hole to far end. For me this is a good thing.

I may have to get a used kurt instead of an import.

It can from either Enco or MSC..just their cheap import brand..had it around for years..from the old manual mill days...

I only buy Kurt stuff now..didn't know any better 20 years ago..
