| Look at what I won - Cast Iron Tooling Cubes! I saw these a few days ago in eBay, and threw a bid at it! Not sure what I'm going to do with them, but they are nice! I've used them in other shops to prop up large parts on a mill table, to get them into position for machining! But these are much smaller, only 4"x4"x6" Perfect size for my little machine shop!

| I've been looking for one of these for a long time, it was listed in Woodworking Vises, so not too many bids! These UniVises are really usefull for grinding tool bit angles on a surface grinder! This is an old "Rockwell" brand, made from heavy cast iron! My shop is filling up! Eric

| nice find on the Rockwell. The local used machinery idiot wanted $900 bucks for one, yeah right, so i made my own. very handy, and you could make a head for it like i did to hold drill bits and get perfect faceted sharped drills. here's a pic of the drill head and the sharped drills. it would easy to do the 6 facet routine for even more accurate work, but i find these cut within a thou or two. v block was case hardened then ground, the rest is brass and mild steel. ![]() ![]() |

| McGiver, That's a nice gizmo! I had followed you posts on another forum, where you made your own "Universal Vise", needless to say it was very impressive! That is also where I got the bug to get one of my own! ![]() Eric
