We are going to be putting a sub plate in a machining center that will be in place for a few weeks. We are concerned that rust may start between the plate and the machine table. Dose anyone know of a way to prevent this? We are using Cincinnati synthetic cutting fluid (60LF). We have though about using a film of cosmalean or grease. |

| When I used to rebuild car engines, I used automatic transmission fluid (ATF) on machined surfaces to keep them from rusting till I could get around to assembling them.
