Newbie here...

I will be cutting 1.0mm carbon sheet (stock is 30cmx30cm) with my CNC router and I am wondering how best to hold it down.
Here are a few questions.

I have a t-Slot table, do people generally stick someting like an MDF sheet in between the table and the CD sheet to avoid damaging the table?

If I use a vaccum table can should I put a rubber mat between the CF sheet and the vaccum table, I guess the mat needs to be perforated with the same pattern as the vacuum table?

Anyone care to share their experience.
