Take a look at Grizzly.com, I have been using their quick change system for several years seems to work as well as anything. Price is right.

Hi all,
Recently was able to purchase a decent Standard Modern 13 inch series 2000 lathe.
Now Im looking for bits and bobs to fit it out correctly.
Would like to purchase a quick change tool post, and after searching fleabay, looks like a daunting task so hoping for some input here.
I realize that much offshore stuff can be junk, but trying to get best bang for the buck. Ive seen names like Aloris and Dorian.
So any help with choosing the best Q/C for the buck would be very much appreciated to this forum virgin.
Thanks all,
KJ

Thanks Ill give them a look,
but still curious about the other name brands, is there a reasonable difference?
I would get the max size that will fit your lathe, I picked up Brand name piston type off ebay, but many claim the wedge type is superior, more rigid etc, I have not found a problem so far.

Good to know,
my lathe is a 13 inch, and as the "c" series of holders are rated for 13 to 18" lathes, I thought they would be too large. Was more considering the "b" series, but any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kj
