I have a kurt vise which can be used on its side. I do not want to secure it
to an angle plate. What is the best way to secure the vise on its side with using a basic clamping set with step blocks? How do you guys go about mounting the vise sideways?

*Should I use two aluminum blocks to get the height for the step blocks to sit then just clamp it down?
