I am considering using 40 or 50 taper toolholders as a basis for workholding. That is, mount some sort of flange to the nose of the toolholder to hold the specific fixture. The toolholder would be held in some sort of block based on a tightening fixture. I need to come up with a good way to pull back on the toolholder without a drawbar of any sort. Anyone seen this done?
