I have used Lamb tangential bypass motors for vac hold down on a CNC router with good success. Now I want to enlarge the system.
Running 2 motors in series gives more draw. So I thought , why use two, 2 or 3 stage motors? Why not one 6 stage?
So I searched and found this , an HVLP motor.

HVLP

Has anyone used one of these?

Then I got thinking, why not just buy 6 of the new Lamb 8.4" impellers, mount them on a shaft, with custom spacers, plates, housing, etc. and bearings, and belt drive the unit with a "real" motor?
The short life, and part of the noise (small I know), of the Vac motors is the motor itself. A "real" motor would last much longer, impellers should last if kept clean, and belt drive should allow whatever RPM we want.
What do you think?
