Low Temp Powder Coating - Need supplier info

I have read in metal powder coating sites about low temperature powder coating material for MDF, but cannot find a source for the powder paint at a hobbyist quantity. Google comes up with a lot of patents, older (2002) technical papers and links to companies that want to set up factories. YouTube is all about metal applications, but mentions low temp for "other" materials.

Anyone know of a contact that will sell to an experimenter / hobbyist?

I have read "low temperature" to mean 160 degree fahrenheit and higher. Also UV curing is noted. Anyone know the particulars of the current low temperature stuff?

Some articles from 2001 mention that the technology is being finalized for grained hardwood. Anyone know about this? Or have a link?

    Steve.

I have read about it in some trade mags, but if anyone knows, these guys would.
    http://forum.caswellplating.com/powd...ing-questions/

It's the powder coating forum at Caswell.
I don't follow it, but it has helped me in the past, especially when I was just starting out.

Caswell, Columbia, and Pendry are the three places I have bought from before. All good service and good powders.

If you do find the answer, please post back here. Thanks.

Lee - Caswell is where I read a lot of references in the forum about low temperature powders, but cannot find anything at their site.

I browsed Pendry and Columbia sites and only found the high temp metal powders.

I will probably start with sending an email to each of those three to see if they can give me a hint.

    Steve.

Joe Powder does a question and answer article in "Metal Finishing". It's a trade journal that you can see here.
