    Hi Khalid...

Many thanks for your very complimentary post.. I do appreciate all encouragement... I think you are too are helping CNC users keep their costs down.. and your should be congratulated for this..

Also you have no need to apologise... We are allowed to speak our minds here.. it's only natural to feel the need to post when something bothers you.. I know I have done this myself.. and I'm sure I'll do it again

    Regards

    Danny

Show me though one site with free models of the same quality as well as on carver3d.com.....
At each of us has the business, I have chosen this.
    Not free, but cheap.
If you do not wish to give money, I can consider offers for an exchange of models or the whole collection of models
    Once again sorry for off-topic

    Hi There,

I think you are confusing the issue of subject matter with that of quality.. As far as I'm concerened quality describes either the model surface or the result produced at the tooltip when the mesh is actually cut.

I normally steer away from comparisons of FREE and paid content as they are two entirely different things. However, as you raise the question of similar quality between FREE downloads and the models at your site, I feel on this occaision it is worth investigation...

There are 6 images below.. I'm sure you recognize the first two images as they are the sample mesh you offer at your site... I use a mesh viewer that provides an accurate and simple view of surfaces. I find this is a more useful indication than a lit render with materials etc.

Comparing all 3 mesh surfaces there is little difference in quality between the 3 meshes. On the basis of the cutting previews it would seem results at the tooltip are also of very similar quality...

If your sample file is representative of the quality of the purchased models at your site, then I'd say that cnc4free.org provides models of equal quality... I don't generally base work on the same subject matter as you do.. but I have provided similar types of files for FREE download in the past, such as the 'ornament' model below and I may create similar models at some point in the future.

I wish you all the best with your model selling venture...

    Regards

    Danny

It benefits from recent gmax specific adaptations to the general methods promoted for relief modelling.... I've put renders of the old and new versions below.. 638 is the OLD model you requested. 733 is the improved methods version. The result is a lot more detail based on the same source material.. Hope it's useful for your project. Would be interested in seeing the finished cut....

It came out great .. .though this rolled acrylic doesn't do it justice. Enco stopped selling cast so I used what I could find at Lowes. Next step is the lighted base. Thanks for allowing me to use your file I do appreciate it. My friend is very excited to see the results, she won't be disappointed.

Note: I do plan to sand and polish the edges, this is fresh off the router Uses a .125" single flute for the cutout and rough toolpath, and a 1/16" ball end mill for the finish. The V-carving was done in a single pass with a 1/2" 90 degree bit. I ran the finish pass at 43ipm and the rough at 36ipm. The plastic is .20" thick and the engraving is .11" deep.

thecrack, maybe you should re read the thread title " Share your 3D Carving files, Parts or Art" or ask somebody to help you understand it. The last time I checked, Share means FREE.

Did you reverse the way it carved? Just starting to play with my JGRO now that it's finished and starting a CNC X2. Have learned so much and nowsee I need to learn more. How did you reverse the 3D image or is that the way it is meant to be carved?

    GCode for knife

Does anyone have a simple Gcode file for a knife blade? Also, do they make a type of fillet end mill or something to cut a knife edge. I have never really tinkered with this type of hobbying stuff, so any help will be nice.

    Thanks

    Brad

I carve the image into the back of the signs yes. The CAM software does all the hard work
