    Question SOFTWARE DECISION

Does any one have any experience with Vcarve or the line of vectric software. Using Mach3 /Lazy cam with corel draw works but leaves alot to be desired. After communicating with Vectric they recomend the Vcarve over their other products, Is that just bewcause they want more MONEY. Looking for software to make it easier to create signs and plaques.

I have VcarvePro and PhotoVcarve. Great software. Very easy to lean and and deceptively powerful.
If they are recommending Vcarvepro to you it is not because they want more money. If they wanted only your money they would have suggested Aspire. If you do not want to carve 2.5 (some people call it 3D releaf) VcarvePro is your answer. Never regreted my purchase of Vectric software and if I had the extra money right now I would get Aspire.

If you have not already done so, download their demo software. All the options are enabled so you can get a good idea of what it can do, you are just limited to the example files they include for carving.

I use dolphin cad cam and think very highly of it. Also use surfcam at work but that's in the high price range. Check out dolphin. Many of us are happy with it and you really dont see anything but good feedback.

For signs and plaques, you won't find anything better than V-Carve Pro for the price. Spend some time reading Vectric's support forum, and you'll see a lot of very happy people. A good portion of those people are also members here.

    V-carve

If I had the money, this is what I would use. I know in the market it is cheaply price but still out of touch for a hobbiest like me. But if any one has an older version they would like to sell/donate I would be very interested.

    just my $.02
