| That is about an inch. That sounds like a good size for the 9' travel. You could likely go a little smaller for the 4'. I don't know what a 20 pitch metric screw would work out to. The screws in my mill are 10 mm lead, so they are 2.54 turns to an inch. 20 pitch might be 5.08 turns per inch? If so, that sounds about right too.
