| I've also done it in the past, and have a job at a church for a bunch of arched window casing coming up in the next week or two.

| I have been using vectric cut3d a little, and have an MOI model software. I have gotten a toolpath generated for a sample of our profile but have a few questions. How do you create a tool path in which router would actually travel along curve instead of just back and forth on an angle? What kind of software do you use for model and cutting? I am learning a little on my own but it is a little different than just 2d stuff. Thanks Dan |

I use Rhino for this kind of modeling; you can define your curve and extrude the profile of your casing along it. ArtCam will do this also. VisualMill will allow you to machine along a curve, or within a boundary. Most Cam software has some kind of 3d contour pocketing that will machine within your boundaries, and along the curve. Let me know if you need some help with this. |

| Since I don't do this often, I just use AutoCAD and draw the toolpaths manually. It's really no different then making moulding on a router table using multiple bits.
