![]() but all much too big.... but they all looks like a bottle.... so I look for a bottle that looks like the big dust collector.... and i found (in the netherlands) a bottle from Barleduc water that look the most ..... in the bottles is a line 2 cm from the bottem, and i all cut them there.... the bucket is from a eat store (also for free) i make a drawing and i try to explain how it works...(but I'm not so good in english... so it is not easy..) ![]() the brown parts are MDF. Green is de dirty air... purple is de clean air flow... on top is a old motor from a vacuumcleaner... and in al the bottles i make this.... : ![]() i hope i explain it better this time.... and the music... yes.. its in pinnecal video 11.... and it had dust in the title.... to make the helix(?) I did make something on my cnc machine... |

| Very nice Swets. Greta idea on using the bottles. I notice your fan exhaust is to the room. Do you plan on putting on some kind of filter? I have the mini cyclone from Clear Vue and use a shop vac for the suction. Not much makes it to the shop vac but what does is very, very fine dust similar to finely ground flour when you touch it. I plan on putting a Hepa (sp) filter in the shop vac. |

| Swets, Thanks for the reply. I may try one of these as well. What size is the plexiglass? I may use a fluorescent light safety tube. They are about 1.5" or 38mm. (Did you make the helix of the plexiglass material) or is part of another bottle? )(Edit: I see that now) I think I could cut a bottle and unroll it and cut the helix from that, or buy a sheet of polycarbonate or PETG material. You could connect a filter just to the exhaust side of the vacuum pump just to catch the fines that may still be in the air. |

| Swets, cool project, very ingenious! The plexi was heat formed over the wooden bucks to make the helix. I need to fool with heat formed plastic more. First Hoss did stepper covers and now this. Seems to be a lot of potential there. Best, BW |
