Puzzle Box I wanted to make a wood joint that would be difficult to cut without a CNC machine. (Try this Norm!) I cut all the puzzle shaped tabs and slots with a 3/8 bit. I left about 0.005" clearance per side and it went together tight. I used three different stains to give a contrast. Nothing special about it, but I think it looks neat. It will hold CD's. I think a table top with this type of joint would look good. Bill

Yes that is very neat Bill, looks pretty simple first glance but when you look at it in regards to drawing and the tool paths it gets a more sophisticated. Nice Work EDIT: What do you have in mind for the top?

No plans for a top this time. I just wanted to see if it would go together. I didn't know if the clearance allowance would be right. I think it is a little tight for the box. I don't know if it might start to split later on. I'm going to go ahead and coat it with varnish and use as is.
