To implement a cnc rotary table to cut wood:

The rotary table is 8", 90:1 turn ratio, and is expected to hold wood work pieces up to 12" radius .

What cutting forces at 12" radius should I design the gear ratio for when cutting various woods?

The trade-off of course will be how fast the table turns.

The table has been sitting on my shelf for 18 months and now has much more resistance to turning than when I first purchased it. I intend to wash it out with a solvent and replenish the oil. Any suggestions as to why and how best to solve this problem.

What type of spindle,what type of tooling, feed speeds, materials, depth of cut.... ????? Could be a few ounces to 50lbs.
