About 2 years or so ago my wife and kids chipped in to buy me a planer for Christmas and got it off Ebay. It is chinese and has an overheat problem. The thermal breaker keeps kicking out after about 5 minutes of planning.

Let it cool for awhile......... and then plane again for a few minutes.

Now, I think the breaker has bit the dust. I looked at the manual and it looks like a twist of wire that is the sensor for the breaker.

Anyway, I need to get to this and do some kinda repair. Has anyone had to do this or knows what needs to be done? The motor is a plastic rectangle with the motor parts enclosed and a pully out one side to the cutters and a drive sprocket out the other side for the rollers.

Thanks for any help.
