What would you charge for this? pic attached

Its my first sign....
This is aprox. 4' x 2 1/2' x 1 1/2" MDF took a couple of hours to cut.
What would you charge for this?

I would charge $200.00 like it is (paint extra).

2hours x $100.00 = $200.00

If you think thats not a fair price, maybe call around your area get a few estimates?

Also you need to figure, it's not just how long it took to cut the MDF.

You programmed the toolpath, supplied material (I think), machine time, tool wear etc...

$200 sounds sounds like a good deal for the beach club business. $100/hr sounds real good too. But as Switcher says, it doesn't account for all your time. So you really aren't making $100.

I'm a hobbiest, and I'd be happy to cut that for $200.

Im a musician so I guess I have some sort of artist blood in me!
Also have some programming/computer skills.
I really liked the way it turned out.

I just ran this through my cost program that I made in Microsoft Excel (Will share with anyone who wants it).

I figure it at this (PLEASE tell me if I'm under/over charging anywhere) but Im still new to all this too.

A4 Sheets Sandpaper x 2 = €3.83
.25 Lt MDF Primer = €6.47
.25 Lt Various Paints = €6.47
.25 Lt Exterior Yacht Varnish = €10.90
Oakley Dust Cloths x 2 @ €1.84 = €3.68
M6x25mm Rawlbolts for Installation x 2 = €3.04
1/10th Roll Masking Tape = €0.70c
20mm Endmill 2hrs @ €1.73p/hr = €3.47 (Based on 15hrs useable life)
6mm Endmill 1hr @ €1.26p/hr = €1.26 (Based on 15hrs useable life)
Jigsaw Blade 12minutes @ €0.09c p/hr = €0.02c
Cutter&Collet Care Consumables @ €0.60c per job = €0.60c
1/4" Collet @ €1.14p/hr = €3.42
CNC Router @ €1.50p/hr = €4.50 (Based on 1000hrs useable life)

Edit: Looking at it again, I'd probably charge for 1/2 Lt MDF Primer and Paints. My tins of Varnish are bigger so 1/4Lt would be enough. You didn't really give enough information on bits used and accurate times to be very accurate, so I just estimated off the top of my head.

Woohoo...maybe I can put up my prices! Well, because I'm only starting and doing this part time I use €8.50 for labour which is only minimum wage. If you increased that to something reasonable you'd shoot straight up above the $200 mark.
