    Routing image moves

Didn't know what to call this. I was doing some routing this morning and noticed that the image I was routing would move over and start cutting to the left. So I went back a redid the gcode and tried again. Still doing it but differant. Just wondering what am I looking for to find out why this is doing it? I have cut other parts (i am new at this) without this kind of issue. About the only changes I made on the computer is I made sure the screen saver couldn't come on or auto updates. I am using Bobcad/Flashcut.
    Any insight would be appreciated.

Try making long distance moves using an indicator to verify position.
    Isolate software, mechanics, electronics.
The amout visible in your move doesnt need an indicator to see, but it will confirm exact range out. (exactly 1 servo revolution?..)
    Check wired connections to encoders.
A programming offset that isn't removed?

Looks ike you're losing or gaining steps. The code looks OK.

Just a note, lowered the speed rates to 50 then 40 and still does it. Rebooted computer, no change. Changed a couple of settings in Flashcut and no change. Checked my connections to be sure something didn't fall out of place, no change. This is just goofy.

Tonight I ran a couple of 3D projects with no issues. Then I was feeling so good I re-ran the problem project. But before I started I checked my kick voltage and noticed the x was at 1volt, the book says at least 3 so I put in on 3 and ran the program with no issues. Not sure why it was set there and why I didn't have problems before I don't know.
    Thanks.

In theory it takes a specific voltage for response.
In reality, there can be a "gray" area that will trigger a response now but not later.
TTL devices can be tricky at mid range voltages. Especially if an open collector is involved.
Any time you find a high (2v or less) when a 3v is proper, try to locate which componant is responsible.
It's kind of like people, sending mixed signals can result in unexpected responses.

I should probably note that I meant current settings, not sure kick voltage was the right way to say it. Thanks for the reply. I am learning, the hardway maybe. :-)

You've probably have this fixed already but...

I had a similar problem with my machine. My fix was simple. The servo-ballscrew coupler was slipping. The coupler, after slipping, would catch the ballscrew once more and continue to hold just fine.
My solution was to simply use lock tight, along with more torque on the setscrews.
