    How many CFM?

    How many CFM at cuttere will be needed to colect wood chips. Usin PC 3.5 HP router. Plan on two 2" hoses conested to 4" PVC. 5' vertical lift and 15' horzonial wher DC will be just prior exiting shop. Hope to use 650 CFM at 1 HP.

    Imo, the 2" hoses are not a goog idea. I'd recommend a 1100 CFM collector and run 2 4" hoses to it. I have a 600cfm collector on my table saw, and also use it on my jointer and prtable planer, and imo, it's just not powerful enough. And with a router, chips will be flying everywhere.
