    Refinishing old machinist toolbox

What would be the best way for me to refinished this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN:IT&ih=012
eBay: MACHINIST TOOL BOX(OLD) FULL!!! L@@K NO RESERVE!!! (item 220002599415 end time Jul-05-06 19:47:40 PDT)

I also have to make a drawer for it so i kinda want to figure a way to make it blend in. And I don,t really care about maintaining its antiqueness.( I know those guys on Antique roadshow would freak out) Anyway any help would be appreciated. Oh yeah and whats a good way to refinish the leather on it too?

Check with a luggage repair on the availability of new material for the outside of the box.
If it's not nailed down, it's mine.
If I can pry it loose, it's not nailed down.

I have seen furniture touch up markers somewhere. You may be able to use them to touch up the spots where the leather is chipped off.
If it's not nailed down, it's mine.
If I can pry it loose, it's not nailed down.

I,m done with it. I was going to touch up the areas with permanent black marker but then I said "awe the hell with it". Plus I kinda like that old worn out look on the out side and then ya open it and its shiney and new lookin on the inside. Now I plan to make a 2 drawer base for it and try to replicate it the best i can ( really is too small for all the stuff that came with it.).
