    3/4 stock cutiing tools ????

    Hi guys , here a newbie question , I have to cut 3/4 inch stock (MDF and PVC)on my small CNC , what cutter (endmill) should i use ????? , right now i have 1/8 endmills but the flutes are not 3/4 inch !!!!

    Yeah, pretty much any diameter bit 1/4" and bigger will work. What kind of spindle? How fast is your machine? I'd recommend upcut carbide spiral bits, but if you can't cut at 100ipm or more, you'll overheat them and they'll get dull fast, and they can be quite pricey.

    the spindle is a dremel advantage 4.2 amps that can accept 1/8 and 1/4 bits , connected to a speed controller , the top spedd of my small machine is 30 ipm , for 1/4 inch bit i doubt that i can do more than 15 ipm !!! That why i'm building a JGRO one !!!!
