I recently complete a version of the JGRO design and am trying to to mill some pictures into wood . what types of bits should I use,all of my results lead me to believe I need to be using smaller bits, the smallet I have used is a 1/8th dremel mill bit.I am also using Mach3 ,should I use multiple passes switching to smaller bits as i go.The machine works well otherwise cutting letters and symbols perfectly.
Try a V-bit with a very small stepover, around .002-.003 or smaller. You don't have to cut very deep, either. Be prepared for very long run times, and a lot of trial and error.
