| There was an article in Fine Woodwoking several months ago with furniture that was veneered with a contrasting wood, and patterns were hand carved to reveal the different wood below the veneer. Some really nice stuff, that I plan on trying at some point in the future. The best way to glue the veneer is to use a vacuum bag. I built my system based on the kits available at www.joewoodworker.com It works great.
