Internet search assistance!

Hi all,

I need some help in finding thick plywood. I need 1" -1 1/2" thick plywood made with waterproof glue and made from light weight wood. I am not talking balsa. Obeche would be nice or some other light weight wood. Would prefer a lighter color such as a straw or cream color but right now I'm getting desperate. I have Googled and done advanced and so far no luck. Any help from you guys and or gals would be greatly appreciated. I'm gonna lose the chance to bid on a good long lasting job if I can't find something close to what the customer is wanting. This needs to be US. The reason I'm getting to bid is Air Freight from another country.

Mike

...so you're looking for a marine grade plywood that floats?? What's the application? How many square feet do you need? Timeframe?

Buy me a Beer?

Try your local plywood wholesale dealers, or commercial distributors. If you need small quantities, maybe you could glue thinner sheets together. If the parts are smaller, you could use a small vacuum bag press to glue the sheets into thicker sheets.

Try BoulterPlywood.com in MA. If they don't have it, they will probably know where to get it.

Thanks for the responses guys.

ViperTx I though all marine plywood floated! I will need 4-5 sheets per purchase and the plan is to make three-4 purchases a year.

ger21 I'm trying to reduce my glue time now with buying thicker plywood. I can make the stuff from scratch but it would be too expensive to use.

InsprirationTool thanks for the link. Will go there now.
