Congratulations!!!
Here are a few of the very first things to roll off of my newly built machine. What would you recommend as a finish for theses signs? Basically, I would like to just enhance the letters and carvings. A grain really isn’t necessary.
I've read about using white glue mixed with water as a 'primer' as such and then staining over that but I'm not sure thats what I want to do for what I want to achieve (Enhanced text)...
I know this has been discused before and I've read several posts about staining MDF. I guess I'm just not convinced theres not a better way.
Any Ideas?
Congratulations!!!

Thank you Mountaincraft
Also,I guess I should have mentioned the type of wood I cut these out of... duh.. Its 3/4" MDF.
Try painting it with an epoxy resin? It tends to deepen, the tone of engineered woods, which may give you better definition, and the added gloss certainly would help in that department, too.

Thanks for the suggestion. Thats really what I want to do since MDF doesn't have any grain to bring out. Does epoxy resin come in different shades or is it just clear?
