Calling all granddads..Well, Dads as well, maybe.

Looking for a nice gift/present to make your toddler/grandchild??
Many years ago I designed and built "an olden day" car for my two toddler sons, and again recently built one, for my granddaughter. For all it looks very involved, it is actually only plywood and quite easy to build. (But neither is it a one weekend project....)
I have the drawings on Autocad, and will e-mail these to ANYONE interested, free of charge. I can e-mail in Autocad .dwg format, or dxf format, or pdf format.
See the car on my site:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/janrose (Do not include the www)

I also have plans for an olden day "pick-up" truck which I've designed, which may be more interesting for boys. Although this pick-up is based on the coupe, I HAVE NOT BUILT IT, and is therefore not proven.
Generally, the car is battery powered, and geared down to a steady walking pace, and is the ideal Sunday stroller with Mom and Dad.
Note that there are also some mechanical bits to be made, but nothing too serious.
If you are really interested, e-mail me. (Details on my site)

Really enjoyed browsing your site. I have twin girls that I'm sure would love a car like that.

Thanks for sharing the link. Nice project.
I noticed the Pink floyd link on your site. Gee does it now mean that we fit into the grandpa catagory if we like Floyd.
Times have changed from the days when my grandpartents favorite music was Frank Sinatra and the likes.

Pretty nice looking cars. Like your live steamer too.
I would certainly like to see your drawings. I'll send you my email address.
Thanks
