Hi,

I need to do some profile cutting on aluminium.
I have a CNC router.
Iam new to routing aluminium.
Can I use the normal HSS endmill used in milling machines in a router?
The RPMs are very high in a router compared to a milling machine spindle RPM, So Iam wondering.
My router RPM is 23,000 and non-adjustable.

Also I need to make 2mm & 3mm wide slots in polycarbonate.
Iam not finding such small diameter router tool bits.
Are these non-standard? If so, how do I make 2mm slot in polycarbonate?
Can I use a 2mm HSS end mill?
