What projects get that O' s$&t response?

I'm always looking for projects that I can make to really show off to people and make their jaw drop. Something about people flipping something around in their hands and saying "You MADE that?" makes me giddy like a schoolgirl (inside of course).
I want to know what you guys have made or would like to, to get this effect. Like a turner's cube. I haven't made one yet, but definitely in the near future.
My first piece out of ally is a pair of knuckle dusters with a intricate day of the dead design engraved in the top and filled with black ink. It's hard to carry around a piece that would get me slapped in jail though I'm also working on the cad for a aluminum puzzle box and a cigarette case with a sliding dovetail lip and ornate engravings also out of aluminum. What do you make??

Turner's cube (kind that doesn't fall apart)... hopefully link works to ones I made. Couldn't find a forum rule prohibiting this kind of link so here it is.

I'm going to try and make one of those captive nut things where the center of a blank rod is threaded and a nut moves back/forth on the threads.

I have also seen:
Jack in a cube
Sphere in a cube
But I have a long ways to go before attempting one. Particularly the sphere in a cube.

Those look great! I want to try one, but I don't have a vise yet for my machine and I doubt it can handle stainless with the router I use. Only goes down to 8000 rpm.

I use one I made as my avatar. It was the first project on my CNC Shizouka.
Made a batch of these last year for Christmas. http://www.kimfab.com/pictures/turncube.jpg
Here is a good link on how to make them.http://www.cnccookbook.com/CCTurnersCube.html

Whenever I'm in the need of some inspiration for O' s$&t projects I head to http://www.ldrider.ca/cnc/cnc-index.htm.

A couple samples of his projects. Simply amazing!

All really cool items. I really like the detail for those knuckles.

Cool Sphere in a Cube

Hi DavidD

Here are some photos of the sphere in a cube.
This was my first 3d part, from design, program, and machine.
One part is not complete so that you see how it was made.

Here is a couple of mine from years ago. No prints or plans, just from trying to do them.
