I am trying to help get our schools CNC router working. We do not have the software that came with it. There is not a lot of info I can find on this thing. Here are some pics of it. http://gallery.me.com/beamsjr#100171 Do you know if it would be possible to just hook this thing up to ENC2 or Mach3? Thanks, Joe |

Ok, I have decided to retrofit this machine with a hobbycnc pro board. I am looking at the motors now to see if I will need to replace them. The motors in the machine are 8 wire motors, but they are wired to the current driver board using only 4 wires. I am guessing these are in fact unipolar motors that are wired in a way to make them work with a bipolar system. basically 2 wires are joined to one wire to make 4 leads. The info on the motor label is HY 200 - 2240 - 460 - A 8 Any info on weather or not these motors will work would be great! Thanks for your help. |

| 8 wire motors can be wired unipolar, bipolar series, or bipolar parallel. I don't know the ratings, but you can wire them to the HobbyCNC board.
