| Machinist Needed to mill interior thread for lathe accessory. Spindle diameter is 1 7/8 inch. Thread is 6 to the inch. This is for an Oliver 20 B Lathe. The accessory is already threaded on one end for a ‘Nova” chuck. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated! I have tried many places and no one seems able to do this. Oldcherry |

| ok dude are you talking about cutting an internal thread for the insert of the nova chuck .............because if thats what you need then a small engineering shop could do that very easily ......but the threads are a bit awkward so a new step down insert will need to be made (the spindle thread is larger than the thread in the nova chuck right?) and i don't think that should cause many problems other than it will take some time to cut and lots of money. just take in a face plate and the chuck and they will do the rest hope that helped but you question seemed a bit hazy |
