| Need Help with Encoders, threading, etc. Newbie here. I've retro-fitted a Sherline lathe with steppers and would like to do some threading on it. (so far turning is working out great with BobCAD v21 generating the code and Mach 3 running the interpretter). Can someone give me advice on how to hook up an encoder - and how to do threading? Will I need more than one pulse per revolution? etc. I also want to retro my metal lathe with cnc and threading capability. So that anything learned on the Sherline will be directly applied to the bigger metal lathe. Thanks for the help. Joe
