Helping a Highschool student with CNC lathes

Hi!

I'm in the 11th grade, and recently, my school attained a Phoenix EZ magnum CNC lathe. The software still works, and we have gotten it to turn something, but the problem: We don't exactly know how we did it.

My teacher made a challenge that anyone who could figure out how to work it, and write an instruction booklet wouldn't have to do a summative and would automatically get 100%.

Could someone help me by summarizing how it works??
