Question Trend router lathe or Spin doctor

Hey everyone I am new to this and really like this site. Great links and ideas to get projects started in your head designing. Anyway to the point. I am looking for a machine that will cut spiral spindles. I have a larger lathe and a mini lathe that I bought at a garage sale. Neither of which I have found any way to cut spirals with. I have saw 2 machines on the internet that advertise cutting spirals. Has anyone ever used the Trend router or the Spin doctor machines? If so were they a good machine? Thanks for any input. FatJoe

    spirals

there are a couple more depends on what lengths &if you need to do different pitches. for i pitch only up to aprox 36" you can find router crafters on ebay under lathes in home & garden tools. second there is a place in utah that sells several different machines that can do up to 96", a gear change for different pitches, & some can do both left &right spirals.that company is either legacy woodworking or phantom enginering. the 2 companys are some how inter related. i ami in the process of building one for myself at the present time. it will be cnc. good luck finding what you wANT & need. greg
