My background is architect and sculpture. I have some experience using Autocad and 3DMAX software. I have also some knowledge in wood industry.

I am looking to find advices about how to organize and become proficient in operating and programing CNC wood carving. At this date, I purchase a KOMO "VR SCULPTURA" -CNC ROUTER LATHE (MULTI HEAD) KOMO "VR SCULPTURA" CNC ROUTER LATHE (MULTI HEAD)
In this moment I try to find answers for next questions:

1) what software is easy to learn and work well for complex 3d modeling? The most popular software in CNCZONE census is Mastercam. What other options I have?

2) Because I want to scan my sculptures, I am looking to buy a 3D scaner for my CNC. I would like to have your opinions about this.

3) I need recommendations for books, tutorials or online courses about how to operate my CNC?
