Does anyone have experience with milling large planks of balsa wood? All the threads I've trolled have been talking about small pieces, usually in reference to model airplanes. I am making a surfboard. Small, only about 5' but the planks I am gluing together are at least 3" thick. Any advice on feeds and speeds and the appropriate bit/flutes to use would be greatly appreciated. I am accustomed to milling hardwoods like maple and walnut so extremely soft woods are totally new to me. Thanks in advance.
