    Newby with WINCNC Problems

Tried to find a thread to put this in but couldn't. I've been using a ShopBot for several years without issue but recently purchased a ShopSabre using WINCNC and am having nothing but problems. I know it's me and not it. I'm a hobbyist and purchased the machine without sensor stops so I am relying on soft stops only. When I try to run a file I generally get a Syntax Error - File not found or error in file. I've looked at the code and it's OK. Every now and again it works and then all of a sudden stops for a day. I think it has something to do with my machine home and the limits but everything seems to be set up properly. I'm going nuts. Can anyone help?

    WinCNC errors

Hi, your post was from last November so you probably have the answer to your problem already. The one thing with WinCNC that was giving me errors before I figured it out was how I named the files. The program doesn't like any blank spaces when you name the file. If you name the file in RAMS "test file.tap" you will get an error in WinCNC. It must be "test-file.tap" or "testfile.tap". Other than that, I love the program, and my Shopsabre is a great machine.

If all else fails, email or call Jim or Mark. They have great customer service.
