Question WinCNC limit switches

I'm running a Shop Sabre with wincnc version 2.2 and it was bought years ago without limit switches to save money. I'm trying to add the limits back in and the manual is only vagely helpful. Has anyone dealt with wiring in their own limits and programing them into the wincnc.ini? I have a decent amount of limit and automation knowledge so i'm not starting from ground zero, but my boss also doesn't have the money to pony up for the help from wincnc. Also does anyone have a wincnc.ini that has the limits programmed in that I could take a look at?

Any reason your using p2b7 and p2b6 for an axis instead of staying in the p3b1-p3b7 series?

older machine

this machine is a 2000 model camaster 408 and had a dos controller when i bought it, i had it upgraded to wincnc in jan 08 and have since gone a little further with the motors and drives, i am building another box and have left the breakout board exposed untill i finish with the new one.

this is the config of pins that were installed and they work, never thought much about whether they were in the right place or not. all limit switches are grounded with pin # 21

hope this is helpful
