Question Problem - WinCNC Plasma restart

    Hi all,

I have a customer that has WinCNC on his Hidef Plasma cutter, It works very well but has one small problem....

If they lose the arc and have to restart, the torch first goes up to the top limit and then as it goes down to the plate it starts to strike all the way until it touches the plate. Is there any way to delay the start signal or only make it strike when it reaches a certain Z position, as the high frequency eventually damages the THC?

    Thank you in advance :-)

    Regards

    Steve

look through the wincnc file, and look for the calls to the macros used to start the torch, the control code should be there some where, make sure you save the original if you try any changes, the same goes for any macros you might try to adjust.
