Why should I use WinCNC rather than mach3?

I confused WinCNC with someone else and asked this question in the wrong forum. I really was looking at your system.

I'm thinking of building my own 3 axis machines and you guys seem to have what I am looking for.

I'm doing some research and noticed lots more mach3 users on this site.

Why is that? Why should I use WinCNC rather than mach3?

Asking for an explanation to help me decide. I want quality.

If you are generating a lot of very small 3D moves in your gcode, WinCNC does a better job at present.

Art (in "retirement") was/is working on something to improve this in Mach3 so things may change in the future.
