| Can you silver soilder 4140? If so what should the clearance be on 2 machined items? Ie. Shaft and collar? |

| anywhere from .002 to .005" clearance per side should be fine when silver soldering sleeve. Konrad |

| Ooo...and yes, 4140 will work just fine. |
