| That looks like a clarke welder, and with the deep discount, a discontinued one. You will pay more for the name, but get a miller or lincolin. The consumables for the off brands can be hard to come by. If you could change out the torch (not likely) for a standard (name brand) unit, it would cost more than the welder. If you can afford it get a 220v welder, so you have more than a 10% duty cycle. |

| Afraid I have to agree; I have not been happy with any of the Chicago Electric tools from Harbor Freight; even with intermittent use they wear out way too quickly...they're cheap for a reason. |
