| Quick Tig Question I've got a miller syncrowave 180. I understand what the balance control does in AC Tig and Stick, but does it do anything in DC Electrode Negative Tig Welding? Thanks, Ed |

| I don't know millers but on a lincoln that is stricly an AC function and isn't even available when the machin is in DC mode. Which makes sense because your essentialy biasing the AC wave toward the + or Minus side of the wave.. and with DC.... well you know. :P

| thats what I figured, I know what it does for ac, but after reading the manual again I found out it controls dig for stick welding. something about reducing electrode sticking. I just wanted to make sure it didn't have any other functions. Thanks |

| nope the balance does nothing on the dc side but i have heard that if you weld on the dc side with the balance on 2 it welds better (my welder never did any different though) |
