Welding, brazing, industrial adhesives for 303, 304 stainless, Aluminum, chrome balls
A few questions about welding Stainless and also industrial adhesives.
It is my understanding that welding 303 stainless to 303 is difficult, but welding 304 stainless to 304 is a good material to weld with. Is this correct?
Also, for a separate application, I am wondering what would be a good industrial grade adhesive to adhere chrome steel balls, to either 303, 304 Stainless, or to 7075 or 6061 aluminum? The application here, is milling a concave spherical cup into the end of bar rounds, and cementing 52100 Carbon Steel Balls - having the same radius as the spherical cup - into the ends of the rods. I would like to use an adhesive instead of welding the balls, to save on costs for these particular parts.
