Hello from S. Texas this is my first post. I realize this forum is mostly CNC but I am sure someone can help. I am looking for a 15"-17" engine lathe. It will be for mostly small prototype work and personal use (tractor, heavy equipment repair) firearm suppressors (legally) and anything else within reason. I want a new solid high precision machine with taper attachment, and DRO. I am leary of much of the Asian offerings. I am currently looking at Romi, Colchester, Summit and Fortune. Any advice is appreciated!
