Looking for someone to build me 12 foot x 12 foot cnc table

I need a 12 foot by 12 foot dual axis table for a project I am working on.

I am not going to use it for a CNC machine, but it will work the same. I need both axis's to move at a decent rate of speed and be fairly accurate the load will be fairly light (a linear actuator with a suction cup at the end to pick up small pieces of paper).

If you can imagine a 12 x 12 table with as many 3''x6'' pieces of paper as you can fit.

If you can do this, please send me a message with a time frame a price quote. My budget is around $3,000.

    A little help.

You have left out a lot of needed information. I hope you don't mind my pointing it out.

    1. Where do you live? it will make a big difference in how it can be transported.
    2. How accurate is fairly accurate? Will make a huge difference in cost. From your description +-.050 would suffice but it would help if it were clearer.
3.What is a decent rate of speed? I think 1"/day is a decent rate of speed for this device. I am guessing that would not work for you. On a 12'x12' machine you would want at least 144"/min. this would give full axis travel in 1 minute.
    4. Are you expecting that the $3K budget includes electronics and computer?
5.By dual axis I am assuming that you need an x-y table and a place to mount your Z axis/linear actuator.
    6. How much clearance above the paper do you want or need?
    7. A general sketch of what you are looking for would go a long way to getting it done.

Hope this is taken in the proper tone of helping you get what you want and not as picking on you. If I was not so busy at the moment I would be interested but I have had to turn away work to concentrate on my day job.

    Mike

    Hello,

    Thanks for the response.

1.) I am located in New York
2.) The paper in question is 3'' by 6'', so as long as it can find it's way above the paper, that would be fine. it seems like +-.050 is fine
3.) Speed -144''/min would be fine
4.) Hoping to keep the budget around $3,000 with electronics/motor, but would spend a little more for good equipment
5.) Not sure how much clearance but at least 4-5 inches
6.) I should have a sketch and will start working on it, but in the meantime it would simply look like a square 12 x 12 table, with gantry style x/y axis linear rails. One rail would move up and back the entirety of the table while the y axis would traverse the x axis. On the table are approximately 1152 small squares that hold the 3x6 paper. The purpose would be to have the x/y axis and suction system pickup a piece of paper and move it into a centralized bin.

Would love to have someone build this for me!

    Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, when does it need to be done by?

I would guess just the raw steel without any fabrication would exceed the $ 3,000.

That's what I was thinking, when they first posted the job.

Then add in shipping, crate, etc... I think materials (steel, motors, wire, etc...) will cost at the very least $3k, 12x12 ft. is a big table.
