Is this an easy thing to do?

I see tables here 'n' there that are in my price range. But the cutting area is small. I can find plenty that are long enough, but the width isn't wide enough. Is it easy to make a tables cutting area wider, if needed?

Are you talking about Travel or Work Area Extending?
Is this a Manual or CNC?
    DIY or Factory Built?

Work area... wouldn't that also change travel? CNC. Don't own one yet, so I'll go with factory built.

You can't change the Travels without Modifying the Machine. This could be Expensive or near impossible.

    Work Area can be Extended.

What type or brand of machine are you thinking about?

I'm not sure, lol. Just getting into this stuff. I'd like something with a cutting area of 24x 18x 3x. I see some that have 24x 12x for relatively cheap. That's why I was wondering if it was possible to make it wider.

    Steven,
You might check out www.finelineautomation.com for a complete kit with 36" x 24" cutting area. You'll have to put it together yourself, but the plans are pretty clear, and it's a great value. I know, since I helped design it
